Equipment can increase capacity, reduce labour or let the business take work it currently turns away. That upside matters, but the cost still has to survive a bad month.
Turn the purchase into a business case
Estimate what the equipment costs, what cash it uses, any finance payment, what extra sales or savings it could realistically create, and how long those benefits take to arrive. Then compare that with the cash cushion left behind.
