Three deadlines people often mix up
For a typical private limited company, annual accounts are normally due at Companies House 9 months after the financial year end. Corporation Tax is generally due 9 months and 1 day after the Corporation Tax accounting period. The Company Tax Return is generally due 12 months after that accounting period.
First accounts are different
A private company's first Companies House accounts usually have a 21-month deadline from incorporation when the first accounts cover more than 12 months, subject to the detailed rules. Do not guess a deadline from an ordinary year if this is the company's first set.
